Oklahoma Aquarium Town Center

In 2022 Dover, Kohl & Partners, on behalf of the City of Jenks, devised a Master Plan for the redevelopment of the area surrounding the Oklahoma Aquarium. Numerous entertainment uses were planned for the area, but the city wanted to create a complete walkable district that could be more than entertainment uses surrounding a parking lot.  DK&P’s team created a network of blocks and streets oriented for people, not just cars, where the first moves can occur utilizing the existing infrastructure without foreclosing on the overall vision for the area.  The area can include large entertainment uses as well as a new main street, hotel, office space, and residential homes. The waterfront of the aquarium will be a destination including rentals for water sports (paddleboarding, kayaks, crew) and other activities that appeal to all ages.
