Milena Da Cruz was born in Brazil and raised in Florida. She has a Master of Architecture from Florida International University and holds a degree from the University of Florida in Sustainability and the Built Environment. Milena’s path into design began with a simple concern: how places can give people stability, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Her interest in town planning grew through her studies, her work in public-facing roles, and her own experiences navigating the limits of car-dependent places, which deepened her commitment to walkability, transit, accessibility, and community life. At Dover, Kohl & Partners, she brings a grounded, people-first design sensibility and a strong belief that beautiful places can also be more equitable, resilient, and livable.
