Brenda Diaz-Flores

Town Planner

Brenda has a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Clemson University and has worked in both public and private sectors. In the public sector she worked as a City Planner in the Design Studio for the Metro Nashville Planning Department where she worked on drafting urban design overlays, the city’s general plan update, NashvilleNext and participated in community engagement and meetings. In the private sector, Brenda designed single family landscape plans as well as, residential, commercial and mixed-use master plans.

Brenda also served on the Metro Nashville Planning Commission and Metro Parks Board in her time in Nashville. She is passionate about serving communities and designing spaces that are equitable and sustainable both economically and environmentally.
